Welcome to the Palash Foundation.
Here, we aspire to create an inclusive world that recognises and respects the rights of people with disfigurement.
Disfigurement is defined by us as an altered physical appearance which can be congenital, due to accidents, burn injuries, surgical intervention, skin deformities, illnesses or any other reason.
We live in a society that strongly conforms to prevailing ideas of what constitutes beauty. These conventional ideals create an attitude of ignorance and even discrimination towards the physically ‘different’, less attractive and deformed persons.
The Palash Foundation was formed in an effort to socially and economically re-integrate people with disfigurement.
Whether you are a person who is visually different, a friend, or a visitor, please take some time to browse through these pages and see who we are, and what we are trying to do.
